We probably have a lot more in common that you think, I’ve worked in the massage industry for over 30 years as a massage therapist, clinic owner and business mentor. I understand the challenges of being self employed, running your own business, and trying to grow that business to support you and your family.

I’m not some generic website designer who doesn’t understand massage industry or care two hoots about whether you are successful or not.

I know the difference between a tibia and the trapezius, and I can explain the difference between MLD and MFR too.

Ultimately, I know what your clients want from your website and I know what your website needs to achieve for your business.

I’m here to help you have a professional website that reflects your skill and expertise but also to support you in the long term to grow and manage your massage business.

Think of me as your web designer, website manager and massage marketing adviser all rolled into one.

Primarily, I work with solo massage therapists and small multi-therapist clinics or studios.

However, my websites are suitable for all kinds of bodyworkers and hands-on therapists including:

  • Sports therapists
  • Myofascial therapists
  • Craniosacral therapists
  • MLD practitioners
  • Rolfers and Structural integrators
  • Ashiatsu and barefoot massage therapists
  • Acupuncturists
  • Acupressure therapists
  • Shiatsu or Thai massage practitioners
  • Reflexologists
  • Feldenkrais practitioners
  • Alexander Technique practitioners
  • Polarity therapists
  • Somatic therapists
  • Trager practitioners
  • And more

If you’re unsure whether my website service is a good fit for your business, get in touch.

Your website is custom built for you based on the information you share with me in the design questionnaire and our Zoom chat.

Your website will typically take between 1 and 2 weeks to build after I’ve received all your written content, images and branding materials.

The most important thing is that you respond quickly to all my questions and requests for feedback, this will make sure your website build stays on time.

Ultimately, my goal is to save you time, not give you more work.

However whilst we’re building your website, I do need your regular input.

I’ll need you to complete my online design questionnaire and have a chat with me over Zoom – this helps me get to know you, your business and your goals.

I also need you to provide the words, photos, images and branding elements like logos that will be used on your website.

I know that might sound daunting, but I’m here to help. I’ll provide you with a simple guide on what you need to write and what images you need to provide..

Occasionally, there might be tasks relating to your current website or domain name that I can’t do for security reasons, I’ll either need you to complete these tasks for me or provide me with your login details so I can’t do them for you.

Once your website is live, you just need to message me any time you need updates, additions or blog posts uploaded.

No, I don’t write the text for your website.

I’ve created loads of websites for massage therapists over the year, if I was to write the text for all of them they’d all sound the same and exactly like me.

It’s really important that your voice and personality shine through in your writing, that can only happen if you actually write the stuff yourself.

Saying that, I’m also here to help you ever step of the way and will provide you with a simple guide on what you need to write and what images you need to provide.

Additionally, my online course Write Killer Content For Your Massage Website goes into lots more detail about what content you need to write and how best to write it. you’ll also find tips on using AI tools such as ChatGPT to help you write your content.

Occasionally, I may edit the text you provide me with to make it more SEO friendly, readable or relevant for a specific place or section on the website.

Apart from some stock images for use in things like blog posts, I don’t provide images for your website.

Images of someone getting a massage on a beach with flowers in their hair aren’t representative of what it’s actually like to get a treatment with you, unless of course your business is based on the beach but I’m guessing that’s not the case for you.

Real photos of you and your treatment space will help people build a accurate picture in their mind of what it’s going to be like working with you. They help build trust and familiarity with your prospective clients.

It’s more important that a photo provides an accurate picture of your business than shows a beautiful setting, although both is what we’re aiming for.

I recommend using a combination of different types of images. These would including images of you, you at work with a client and your treatment space – both wide images that capture the whole space and images that shows details like a salt lamp or oil burner.

Remember the phrase, a images speaks a thousand words.

Your website can have up to 10 web pages as standard

Most solo therapists won’t need more than 10 web pages. If you’re a small clinic or studio with multiple therapists and a wide range of therapies, you may need more than 10 pages.

Additional pages are available for a small additional fee. do,

Legal pages such as Privacy and Cookie pages aren’t part of your 10 page count, they are always included.

Yes!

In fact I highly recommend you do have a blog and that you actually use it!

It’s one of the best ways to signal to search engines such as Google that your website is active, alive and worth showing to searchers.

My recommendation is to try and publish one blog post each month, which might sound daunting but is actually just 12 post a year.

With the help of my course on Easy Blog Posts For YOur Massage Website you could knock these all out in one weekend and just have them sat ready to upload once a month.

You can either publish blog posts yourself using the editor area of your website, or have me upload and optimise the blog post for you using your free 30 minutes of monthly updates, the choice is yours.

Some booking software allows you to integrate or embed the software within your website, with others you have to link to them on an external page.

If your booking system is capable of being integrated or embedded then that’s what I’ll do,

If however it doesn’t allow embedding, I’ll provide links and buttons to open the booking system in a new browser window instead.

Aside from integrating your booking software, you can also have the following integrated on your website.

  • Contact form
  • Newsletter sign up form
  • Instagram post display

If there are other integrations you would specifically want or need, send me the details and I’ll let you know if it’s possible.
